Glasses.com Review (2026): Designer Frames, Insurance and a 60-Day Return Policy
Glasses.com sells Ray-Ban, Oakley and other designer frames online with in-network insurance billing and 60-day free returns. Here's what it costs and the fine print.

Verdict: Glasses.com is the place to look if you want designer and name-brand frames – Ray-Ban, Oakley, Michael Kors, Coach, Persol, Versace and more – bought online with vision insurance applied at checkout. Returns are generous: 60 days for a full refund with free return shipping. It is not a budget store: frames start around $55 and lens upgrades add up, so it competes on brands and insurance, not on the lowest price.

Insurance: the main reason to choose it
Many online stores make you pay first and file a claim yourself. Glasses.com says in-network benefits “sync” online, so the discount is applied at checkout. For out-of-network plans, you submit a claim form to your insurer. Two limits from its FAQ: in-network benefits can’t be applied to past orders, and if you return an insured order, it files a request to reinstate your benefits (which can take a couple of business days).
If you don’t have insurance, compare the checkout total with budget stores like EyeBuyDirect or Yesglasses – the same prescription can cost far less there with a non-designer frame.
The fine print
- Returns exclude shipping and handling you paid (for example, express). The refund goes back to your card in about 7–10 days.
- Warranty vs. damage. Manufacturing defects are covered for a year; accidental damage only gets 50% off a replacement unless you bought the protection plan – and the plan can’t be added later.
- Glasses prescriptions only. It asks for a current eyeglasses prescription; contact lens prescriptions aren’t accepted for glasses. California residents must have a valid prescription transmitted electronically.
- Delivery time is longer than the shipping time. Verification and manufacturing come first, so allow a couple of weeks for standard orders.
Who it’s for
Good fit: shoppers who want a specific designer or name-brand frame, people with EyeMed, Davis Vision or Superior Vision who want benefits applied online, and anyone who values a 60-day full-refund window.
